1. Prohibited Content
You may not use our services to store, publish, or distribute any content that violates the laws of Nepal or international law. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Illegal Material: Child pornography, non-consensual sexual content, or content promoting terrorism and violence.
- Copyright Infringement: Hosting unlicensed software (“warez”), nulled themes/plugins, cracked games, or copyrighted movies/music without permission.
- Phishing & Fraud: Fake banking sites, Ponzi schemes, or sites designed to steal personal information.
- CMalicious Software: Hosting viruses, trojans, ransomware, or command-and-control (C&C) scripts.
2. Email & Anti-Spam Policy (Zero Tolerance)
We maintain a strict Zero Tolerance policy for Unsolicited Commercial Email (SPAM).
- Prohibited: Sending bulk emails to users who have not explicitly opted in.
- Prohibited: Using our servers to host “landing pages” advertised via spam sent from other networks (“Spamvertising”).
- Limits: We reserve the right to limit hourly email sending rates on shared hosting accounts to protect our IP reputation.
- Consequence: Any account found sending spam will be immediately suspended, and a cleanup fee may be charged.
3. System & Network Abuse
You may not use our network to attack or disrupt other systems. Prohibited activities include:
- DDoS Attacks: Launching Denial of Service attacks against other networks or users.
- Port Scanning: Scanning external networks for vulnerabilities without authorization.
- IP Spoofing: Forging IP packet headers to conceal your identity.
- Botnets: Operating IRC bots or other command-and-control software.
4. Resource Usage (Shared Hosting Only)
To ensure fair performance for all users on shared servers, you may not:
- Crypto Mining: Running scripts for Bitcoin, Monero, or other cryptocurrency mining is strictly prohibited on all shared and VPS environments.
- Excessive Load: Consistently using more than 25% of the system’s CPU or RAM for longer than 90 seconds.
- File Storage: Using a shared hosting account primarily for file storage (e.g., as a Google Drive backup) rather than for a website.
5. Security Responsibilities
- Updates: You are responsible for keeping your scripts (WordPress, Joomla, etc.) and plugins up to date.
- Compromised Accounts: If your site is hacked and used to attack others, we may suspend it immediately to protect the server until you resolve the security breach.
6. Violation & Enforcement
DataHub reserves the right to investigate any reported violation of this AUP. If a violation is found, we may take the following actions:
- Warning: YA formal email warning requesting the removal of the offending content.
- Suspension: Temporary disabling of the service until the issue is resolved.
- Termination: Permanent account deletion without refund for severe or repeated violations.
Reporting Abuse: If you suspect a site hosted by DataHub is violating this policy, please report it immediately to: abuse@datahub.com.np
